A cheesy motivation.

sqaim

Good night, my dear readersmini_gifs187adopt-aurorabluHow are you doing? I’m tired and hungry, but fine. This won’t be the best post of my life; actually I’m here to say hello and tell you a story. Some of you probably know that I take belly dance lessons. I started to do it when I was 16 years old. It’s one of my biggest passions! minisomI believe I’m a good belly dancer, but I’m very very shy, so, I honestly don’t like to perform to big audiences Smiley envergonhado. No, I won’t upload a video or something on this blog, at least for now! Nhé-nhéI dance because I like it, not because I want to catch attention. Yes, belly dance is something very feminine and sensual, but I like to dance it spontaneously, all over my apartment, just following the rhythm! mini_gifs180Of course, I have my belly dance outfit, but I take belly dance lessons in a short tee (t-shirt) and large pants, not very … exotic, I’m afraid!

Many women (probably the most of them) choose to take belly dance lessons, because it’s feminine, sensual and nice to entertain boyfriends and husbands. I can say that belly dance is much more than an entertainment, but I don’t want to talk about the spiritual side of the dance right now. My motivation was completely different. And that’s what I want to tell you! I was too young to think about boyfriends and husbands. Actually, if I remember correctly, I was a 10 year-old kid. There was a soap opera on tv, called Sassaricando. Every soap opera in Brazil has a soundtrack. When I was a kid, there was a Long Play (LP … Do you remember that?! Oh, my God, I’m getting old! I listened to records, when I was a kid! Smiley surpreso) with Brazilian songs and a Long Play with foreign songs. Well, the international soundtrack of this soap opera, Sassaricando, had one song, a type of Arabian pop called Fatamorgana, of a German rock band (!) (Dissidenten). The members of this group played with people from Middle East and India (according to Wikipedia). Well, when I listened to Fatamorgana for the first time, I fell in love immediately! mini_gifs14 It’s an extremely cheesy song, a pop song, but I’ve always loved percussion instruments and the Arabian beat of the song caught my attention! It was an amazing experience to listen to that! And, of course, then I discovered the belly dance. And fell in love with everything: the outfit, the instruments, the dance styles and all the feminine, sensual and exotic atmosphere! Daddy didn’t want me to take belly dance lessons when I was a kid, but when I became a teenager, I started to do it at the gym. Of course, it wasn’t easy to find the right place, but all the comings and goings gave me a lot of experience! AlegreIt’s funny to think that everything started because of a cheesy pop song, which belonged to the soundtrack of a soap opera! I didn’t want to lose weight, impress my boyfriend or husband, regain my femininity or catch attention. I was a kid! I only wanted to be able to follow the rhythm of a song!

Today, I can follow the rhythm of real belly dance songs. But Fatamorgana still sounds special to me! It reminds me of my childhood. It’s good to have sweet memories! I had a cheesy motivation to start my belly dance journey. But, who needs a noble reason?!

That’s all for now, folks! Stay tuned! I’ll be back!

The male stripper incident.

ab-gn

Here I am, wishing for some inspiration in this torrid night! miniventiladorIt’s +28C and 09:44 PM!!!! Smiley surpresoYesterday night, I read a very interesting news on internet about an episode that happened somewhere in Santa Catarina (south of Brazil), involving the mayor, a male stripper and hundreds of cheerful women (city hall employees), one day before the International Women’s Day. It seems (according to some accusations) that the mayor used public money (from taxes) to hire the male stripper and please the cheerful women at a party. Do I need to say that public money shouldn’t be used to hire male strippers for parties? There are more urgent problems to solve or things to do, like investiments in hospitals, schools, public transportation and stuff. To hire a male stripper for a party is not a priority of any government. I guess. What made me laugh and be proud to live in such a peculiar country (yeah … there’s a little bit of sarcasm right here), was the news itself! A masterpiece, when it comes to nonsense situations, stupid excuses and sexist ideas about what do women really need at an International Women’s Day party! We, Brazilian women, need respect and public policies which protect us from violence and ensure basic rights, like education, health care and job opportunities. The news is so amazing, that I decided to translate and share it with you guys! It’s from one of the main Brazilian newspapers (it doesn’t mean that it’s a reliable newspaper!): Folha de São Paulo. I’ll do my best to be as precise as possible, but it won’t be a literal translation! Then, I’ll make some comments.

Prosecutors investigate male stripper at a party of the City Hall of Palhoça (SC – Santa Catarina):

by Luiza Bandeira, from São Paulo (Folha de São Paulo – 11/03/13 – 07:39 PM)

The Public Ministry of Santa Catarina opened an investigation to check if the City Hall of Palhoça has used public money to hire a so-called go-go boy [that’s the way we, Brazilian people, call the male strippers] who performed at a party on Thursday (March 7) in honor of the International Women’s Day.

The man, identified as Renato Mendonça, wandered around the event wearing only a transparent black underwear. Pictures posted on internet show him dancing with some of the around 1 300 city hall female employees who were at the place.

According to the acting mayor of the municipality, Nirdo Artur Luz, also know as Pitanta (DEM, a Brazilian political party), the man wasn’t a go-go boy, but a model. “He was wearing a black boxer underwear. According to informations, the go-go boy performs wearing a white Zorba [underwear brand]. And the model, wearing a black boxer”, he said.

The mayor also said that the man didn’t do a striptease. “He couldn’t. My daughters and wife were there. I gave 1 500 flowers to the female emplyees and, then, he took off his shirt and stayed there, in his black boxer”, said Pitanta.

According to the mayor, all the women who were at the party enjoyed the show. “He looks exactly like Paulo Zulu [Brazilian model]. They loved him. Only one female employee, who not even was there and is politically against me, complained about it. She wants to ruin the image of the mayor”, he justified.

Pitanta said that it was a voluntary performance, because the model wanted to promote himself and his magazine – he’s the cover of the March edition of the G Magazine [a type of Playboy, but for gays. And women.], which was given to the public at the party. In his Facebook account, Mendonça said that he has been Mister Santa Catarina, once.

“DIGNIFIED PARTY”:

The mayor said that he cancelled the R$ 7 500,00 reservation he made [it’s a reasonable amount of money, if you want to know] to pay the expenses of the party – rent, snacks and soda, without predicting expenses with the go-go boy. According to him, there wasn’t public money involved in the event, because there wasn’t any plan about the presence of a model there.

He said, though, that go-go boys have already performed at parties of other public administrations in town. “Every year, there’s a performance. There was even a striptease. With a white Zorba and stuff”, he told.

The mayor informed that an administrative investigation will be open against the director of events of the City Hall, Edmilson Cruz, who organized the party. He will be responsible to pay the expenses.

Cruz said that the model was there to promote a cocktail company. He said he didn’t know that the man would be in underwear, anyway, when he knew it, he gave permission to the model to wander around the place even so. “Do you believe that in Big Brother there’s some type of scandal if a man wanders around the house in underwear? What if I hired Ney Matogrosso [one of the most talented and famous Brazilian singers. The director mentioned Ney Matogrosso because his performances are usually very sexy.] and he danced in underwear? Nobody got shocked”, he said.

The employee defended the party. “There was a lecture, distribution of roses. It was a a dignified party.”

*

Well, I think that this news shows, explicitly, the confusion between what’s public and what’s private in Brazil. Believe me: this is one of our main problems! People here can’t distinguish what’s public from what’s private! In my opinion, it’s a bad taste attitude, at least, to hire a male stripper to please a bunch of cheerful (and maybe desperate) female employees, at a party in honor of the International Women’s Day! It didn’t happen at a private company or institution, it happened at the City Hall! It doesn’t matter if the party itself happened exactly at the City Hall or not, our politicians should have better ideas to entertain women one day before the International Women’s Day! As I told you before, it’s not exactly a day of celebration! The excuses of the mayor are absolutely ridiculous, I had to laugh! The best was the one about the differences between go-go boys and models: “go-go boys wear white underwear and models wear black boxers”. Like … WTF?! Smiley confuso It doesn’t matter at all! I bet that the women who were enjoying the show, didn’t pay too much attention at this detail! There was a man at the party, entertaining the female employees, period. I can’t say that the mayor (or the responsibles for the event) really used public money to pay the expenses. If they did, this is disgusting! People pay taxes to finance this?! Wow! Great …

I don’t know, maybe I’m just a woman who doesn’t like male strippers at all. They are not my type of men and stripteases are a little too cheesy for my liking! I would probably feel depressed if a man made of prominent muscles tried to seduce me in a black transparent boxer, dancing. I would feel happier in a heavy metal concert, if you know what I mean Smiley piscando. Anyways, I feel a little ashamed to know that a City Hall offers this type of entertainment to female employees at a party in honor of the International Women’s Day. One guy said that there was also a lecture, at the party. About what? “How to do a striptease for your hubby in ten easy steps”? As we use to say in Brazil: Ninguém merece! (Nobody deserves it!)

Now, I’ll have my dinner. Stay tuned! I’ll be back! And I’ll end this post with a song, a very nice one, actually. My Brazilian readers will understand the joke. This song was the soundtrack of a Brazilian soap opera about male strippers. C’mon guys, dress your best underwear, feel the vibe and dance! *lol* (I’m kidding!)

Hugs,

Consumerism: the 21st century plague.

041022_002n

Boa noite, meus queridos leitores! So, how was your weekend? Mine was exhausting. But, here I am again, ready for a new week, full of things to do and newsletters from stores and companies to receive! Irritado Of course, I can choose the option “unsubscribe”, but it’s quite interesting to observe that the quantity of newsletters has been growing exponentially! It seems that the owners of the stores and companies really want me to consume. The propaganda is getting more and more aggressive. The problem is that I’m not in the mood to consume lately, and all these newsletters are not helping at all!

This is probably the first time that I’m writing about consumerism on this blog, but won’t be the last! I’m going through deep changes and my environmentalist side is showing up much more often! I’m just tired of people trying to convince me that I need new perfumes, purses, clothes, pairs of shoes, accessories, shampoos, body lotions, nail polishes, etc., because, no, I don’t! Have you ever thought about all the things you have, my dear reader? Are they really necessary? Do they make you feel happy? Are you a consumerist person? If so, I’m really sorry for you and hope you can think about your attitudes. Not only because of environmental reasons, but because consumerism is a meaningless thing! It really is!

Once upon a time, in the beginning of our history, human beings were guided by necessity. So, if they needed food, they looked for or produced it. If they needed weapons, clothes and every type of supplies, they produced them. In a certain moment, people started to exchange things and some human beings became specialized in producing certain items. Of course, from the beginning, a few human beings (stronger, smarter or just evil), exploited others, becoming an elite. And probably this elite had the great idea of creating something called money. Little by little, the most of humanity has lost the capacity and skills to produce their own food, clothes, weapons, supplies and became completely dependant on money and another creation of the elite: industry. Are you able to produce your own food, dear reader? Do you know where does your food come from? Can you cook? Can you make your own clothes and accessories? Are you able to build up a house by yourself? Probably not. So, you depend on this system. More than this: you are a slave of this system. I don’t want my precious readers to commit suicide, but some truths must be said! Nowadays, the most of humanity is completely unable to do something by itself! People are completely dependant on industry and money! Without money, we can’t live in this system! The elite knows that. And they want their slaves to behave well. That’s why they created something called consumerism. Once upon a time, when capitalism was created, people still were guided by necessity. And this behaviour lasted for centuries! My lovely grandparents, for instance, spent their whole lives with the same stuff at home! Smiley surpresoMy paternal granny was able to do everything, from food to clothes! Unfortunately, she passed away when I was a kid, so, I couldn’t be her apprentice! I would love to! … My maternal granny was the prototype of the wise black woman: she could recognize every single plant in a yard or farm! She could make handmade medicines. And, believe me: they really work! I can make a few teas and handmade medicines thanks to her! My grandparents didn’t need to go to the hospital, they were strong and healthy! And, as I told you before, their goods were made to last! I still have a beautiful knitted cardigan, which belonged to my paternal granny. It’s perfect! I think that this cardigan can resist to a nuclear bomb! I remember that my paternal grandpa, a stubborn Hungarian man, wanted to fix up everything! He just couldn’t accept the idea that things break and become useless! Sometimes, we needed to hide broken things from him! *lol* And throw them away, of course. I’m telling you this because there’s a huge difference of mentality, attitude and reality between my grandparents’ society and our society. My grannies got mad if me and my brother didn’t eat everything at lunch or dinner, because food wasn’t something to throw away back then. If my grandparents were alive, they would feel depressed in this modern world, where everything is disposable! My Hungarian grandpa would be insane with all these products made in China, impossible to fix up and made to break in a few months! toinUnfortunately, things got worse in many ways! Nowadays, the most of people are not able to do things with their own hands. The old knowledge about plants, medicines, recipes is disappearing in many places. And people are not guided by necessity anymore. Especially because our goods are not made to last!

I use to say that this society is based on two things: job and consumerism. People work to consume. And don’t consume because they need something. They consume to be someone! This is serious! You don’t buy exactly products, you buy lifestyles and they say a lot about you (superficially speaking). Here in Brazil, for instance, a person who wears the same clothes more than two days in the same week, is discriminated! We are judged by our look, by the clothes and accessories we wear. So, people consume to build up a self-image! And we all know how hard it is to escape from the necessity to be accepted. When, on Winter, I decide to go out wearing my best clothes and accessories, people treat me like a queen. The same doesn’t happen when I go out in my old sweater, old pants and old tennis shoes. A silly example: you already know that I’m fond of cute stuff, right?! mini_gifs63It seems that we are having an “iphone case mania” in Brazil, lately. There are many cute cases for iphone, including Hello Kitty ones th_0119h2_08. It seems that every fancy girl has an iphone case in São Paulo. The problem is that I don’t have (and won’t have) an iphone. I have a Samsung Galaxy S2. I can have a cute case for my smartphone, but they are more difficult to find. So, I need to be strong to resist to the stupid idea that I am not that fancy, because my smartphone doesn’t have a cute case! Is it silly? Of course! But that’s how consumerism becomes part of people’s lives! You feel you are not cool enough, because you don’t have a certain product. Who the hell really needs a Hello Kitty iphone case?! The fact is that we don’t really need at least the half of things we have!

Of course, I’m talking about middle class people, who have a computer to read this blog (I’m talking about me, too). There are many human beings in this planet who not even have clean water to drink! Consumerism increases selfishness. Do you, my dear female reader, think about all the women of this planet who don’t have a pair of shoes, when you want to buy your hundredth pair of shoes? Of course, you don’t! Do you think about how many people are exploited to produce your expensive clothes? Do you know where do your goods come from? No, you don’t. Selfishness is an ugly thing. Of course, it’s not completely our fault. But we really need to think about our necessities. How many things do we throw away every year? How many unecessary things do we have? Have you ever regretted of something you bought on impulse, my dear reader? I bet you did! Why do people buy on impulse? Recently I read an article about it (Impulse buying reaches 85% of the consumers, here is the article, in Portuguese. Yeah! Scary!). Basically, people feel empty, depressed, anxious and insecure, so, they consume. The problem is that consumerism leads to more depression, anxiety and insecurity! As I told you before, it’s meaningless! People don’t consume to have things, they consume to be someone!

Of course, I’m not perfect. I’m made of flesh, bones and desires, exactly like you, my dear readers! I’m a woman, a very feminine one, so, of course I make my mistakes and have my weaknesses! I like expensive brands (Givenchy, L’Occitane, Louis Vuitton, Cacharel, Bourjois). I’m fond of some things, like rings and earrings. I have many things I don’t really need. But, I’m far less consumerist than I was! As I told you before, I’m going through deep changes and they include a whole new lifestyle! I’m completely fond of handmade things, so, I’m making the most I can with my hands. It’s incredible, but my will to consume decreased drastically because of this! That’s why I receive dozens of newsletters and don’t give a damn about them! I don’t need to consume to be someone! And I think that capitalism is collapsing, so, we really need to think about alternative solutions! Life cannot be based on consumerism!

This is only the beginning of a series of posts about this subject. Of course, I will keep talking about other subjects, but this is really important! The natural resources of this planet are disappearing, there’s an economic crisis all over the world, so, I think we really need to think about our attitudes! Consumerism is one of the worst behaviours we can have! It leads to debt, depression, anxiety, insecurity and the gradual destruction of this planet. So, I will talk about it and try to share my personal experiences, tips and tricks to get rid of consumerism! Hope you participate on this discussion somehow! And now I share with you a very interesting video about consumerism, called The Good Consumer. Worth watching!

That’s all for now, folks, it’s late, I’m starving, etc. Sooo, stay tuned! I’ll be back!

Big hug,

Who run the world? Girls!

th_kitty01

The International Women’s Day is not exactly a day of celebration. Especially in Latin America, we, women, don’t have much to celebrate. But, I’m not here to talk about pain and indignation. Yes, I am a woman. I live in a country where the most of men are extremely sexist, violent and disrespectful. While I write this post, at home, protected and comfortable, little girls are being sexually abused, wives are being beaten by their husbands and lovely teenagers, full of potentials, are being offended by harsh and violent words. A lot of men still believe that they can possess women an rule their lives and, unfortunately, we still live in a patriarchal civilization. A lot of things must be done to change the cruel and sad destiny of thousands of women, all over the world! But I’m not here to repeat a radical feminist speech. I am a feminist and, in the beginning of my journey, I was radical and my speeches were full of hate and sorrow. Now I understand that only love can change the world and this is not a cheesy line of a pop love song! I really mean that. I’m tired of ideas and speeches that separate people instead of unite them! And I have no reasons to complain about men! Maybe I’m privileged, but all my close friends are men, the most of my friends are men and they are lovely, understanding and respectful. My father was the most adorable man of this planet! How can I say that men are monsters, if I’ve always been loved, accepted and protected by men?! Of course, I’ve been a victim of verbal abuse and the patriarchal society hurts me too. And pisses me off! Today, for instance, I received dozens of newsletters from stores and companies wishing me a happy International Women’s Day and “suggesting” me to consume. “You deserve to be more beautiful!”, they say. Thanks for the compliment, but, sometimes, I don’t want to look like a beauty queen! I just want to be myself, wear a sweater, have a bad hair day and read a book or play computer games! Women are not objects of decoration! And it’s pretty sad that stores and companies where thousands of women work, sell this type of vision to other women (and to themselves)! It’s terrible when women reproduce the sexist behaviour and act against other women. It happens A LOT in Brazil! Women here are extremely competitive. Every time you, my dear female reader, act against other woman without a reason, you are behaving exactly like the worst sexist man there is! We should be united! Girls and boys are still educated in a different way, especially in Brazil, where the sexism is atrocious and a little boy is beaten by his father, just because he wanted to play with dolls or dress a pink t-shirt! A lot of things must be done to change this world.

But, as I said before, I’m not here to talk about pain and indignation. The mind is everything. What you think, you become. If we, women, don’t believe in our potentials and strenght, we will never have potentials and be strong! Never! So, I invite you, my dear female reader, to read and repeat the sentences of power below! If you are a man, read it too, because they are valid for human beings in general:

I am a perfect human being full of potentials, free and able to do whatever I want!

No censorship will stop me to express myself!

I don’t choose hate as a language or lifestyle, so, words of hate mean nothing to me. Nothing will stop me to be who I am!

I am strong enough to defend myself! Violence is not a matter of who’s stronger, who’s weaker. Violence is an instrument of power. If I don’t give power to a violent person, I don’t give him or her the right to hurt me!

I don’t believe in limitations. I will find my way, no matter how long does it take!

I don’t give to other people the power to decide what’s better to me!

I am beautiful the way I am and, if someone doesn’t accept me, well, he or she can f*** off!

No make up, body lotions, perfumes, pairs of shoes, jewels, clothes can fill up the whole I have inside of me. I better look for my own solutions!

I am completely able to change my life and start new projects, if I want to do it!

I am completely able to end a relationship that hurts me and makes me feel down!

I don’t need company to feel complete!

I wasn’t born to serve and obey!

I am responsible for the education of the new generations. If I believe in equality, I must live and teach equality!

*

Of course, I don’t want to teach anybody how to live! But I know how our mind is tricky and how much we need to work to think the right things. Power does not exist without the ones who accept them. Of course, we must change this world. But only self-confident people can do it. If you believe you are too weak to say no and stop the violence, well, that’s what you will be! Believe in yourself! Women are amazing, magical, strong, creative! We all were born to shine! I’m not here to say how painful existance can be to a woman, because my existance has never been painful, despite of some episodes! The most incredible woman I’ve ever met, my mother, taught me to believe in equality and created me and my brother for equality. Why? Because she was self-confident. She didn’t hear the blah blah blah of the ones who want humanity to be separated! So, let’s shine, girls! This world belongs to us, too! We can make it better with our sensibility! We can teach people how lo love! If we believe in our potentials. We run the world!

Happy International Women’s Day!

Do you have the x factor?

JGNiteBlinkie

Do you have the x factor, my dear reader? This unique ability to sing well and look better that some producers of the music industry (or whatever they are), are looking for? I honestly don’t know if I have the x factor. I would like to have the x gene, so I would be a mutant Alegre. I can sing, I take singing lessons three times a week and it seems that my voice is ok, since I hear many compliments and don’t see shocked or scared faces while I’m singing. I’ve never wanted to be a famous singer. When I was younger, I wanted to be the vocalist of a heavy metal band mini_gifs68. Actually, I’ve written some lyrics and honestly think they are good, but … I think I’m too sweet to lead a heavy metal band, it isn’t my style! mini_gifs19 I believe I was born to sing Brazilian music, what we, in Brazil, call MPB (Música Popular Brasileira – Popular Brazilian Music). It’s my repertory, intimistic, warm, sweet and melodic minisom! I wasn’t born to sing to huge audiences. I’m shy Smiley envergonhadoand my voice is very delicate, I like to sing Brazilian music to small groups, you know, just me, them and someone playing an acoustic guitar. Music is something extremely varied and the MPB taught me that nobody needs to scream and sing cheesy pop love songs, to be successful and admired as a singer. I definitely don’t need to sing My heart will go on (Celine Dion – Titanic’s soundtrack), to be a singer! This is one of the worst songs I’ve ever heard in my entire life! I honestly believe that so many people cry when they listen to this song because it’s terrible, not because it’s touching! It really hurts to listen to My heart will go on, I wanna cry too! mini_gifs18 I use to say that the Titanic sinks, in the movie, because of the soundtrack! … Sooo, I honestly don’t understand why the hell do so many people participate in singing contests on tv, to sing cheesy pop love songs and try to be famous! By the way, philosophical question of the day:

Why the hell do people want to be famous?

What am I talking about? Well, I’ve been watching on YouTube the worst auditions of some singing contests on tv, like The X Factor. Why the worst? Because I like to laugh once in a while (meanie!!!! >.<) Rindo. The human behaviour fascinates me (and scares me), so, sometimes, I waste my precious time watching tv shows on YouTube. I don’t have a tv and don’t give a damn about celebrities or something, but some things are so unbelievable, that I need to watch! Smiley surpresoIf you are not familiar with singing contests on tv, dear reader, well … there’s no much to learn about them. Every single year, some tv channel creates or repeats a contest where hundreds of people sing to a group of judges, trying to reach the finals, win the prize (lots of money! I read that The X Factor, pays millions of dollars to the winner!) and get a contract from a record company. It seems that this type of reality show is very successful in the US and in the UK, but it has never been successful in Brazil, despite of all the tries! Anyways, we had the Ídolos (Brazilian version of the American Idol) last year. The worst auditions are funny, but the judges are too disrespectful and arrogant, that’s why I won’t upload a video here.

There are many things I don’t understand about these contests. One of them is that the winner hardly becomes as famous as a pop artist. Other, is the huge quantity of people who have no talent at all and really believe that can win the contest! Seriously: it’s embarrassing to watch some auditions! I don’t know what happens to some people! And many thoughts come to my mind. The great media really stinks. I don’t know why do some people from the entertainment industry create these tv shows. They want me and you to believe that the judges are looking for talented people, but a pop star is not necessarily a talented person! Pop starts give profit to the entertainment industry. They don’t sell only their voices! They sell dozens of products and a whole lifestyle! Some pop starts (especially the current ones) not even sing, but they sell a certain lifestyle and products. So, every time I watch the worst auditions, I think that the whole thing is a great waste of time! The singing contests are not about singing! Nobody is looking for an unique person, who has an unique voice and style! We all know that! A pop star is not unique (even if it seems). Of course, some pop starts are really talented, but they are all equal. Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and Christina Aguilera, for instance, are the types of singers who scream (yes, they scream, even if I like Whitney Houston!) and exaggerate in everything. Madonna, Beyoncé, Britney Spears and Nicki Minaj are sex symbols. Every boy band follows the same patterns. So … what’s the difference? What’s unique? And it’s amazing to observe that the people who participate in singing contests on tv imitate the pop icons instead of singing with their own voice. They choose cliches, behave in an artificial way, because they know which patterns are successful! The problem is that a pop star is much more than someone who can imitate successful people.

And the ones who try to be unique, are so absolutely weird, that their auditions scare! Smiley chorandoAs a singer, I fear for my performances! Like: “Am I that bad too?” Smiley confuso I don’t understand these shows, honestly. I don’t understand why do people who have no talent at all, participate in them. Why such a waste of time, if we all know that pop starts are all equal? Yes, it’s funny to watch the worst auditions, sometimes I laugh so much that I cry! But … I feel embarrassed, at the same time. Some people can’t sing at all. Some people are too … different, to be a pop icon. Some people should be at home. And they sing in front of the judges! And the whole world laugh at them! This is a little sad! Smiley triste

This is a strange world. I want to believe that everybody is able to sing music_azul. But we have unique voices and some repertories are suitable to our voices, some are not! I can’t stand My heart will go on, but I wouldn’t be able to sing it. I can’t scream, I mean, reach such high notes (he he he he he …). Unfortunately, the media forces people to believe that there’s only one way to sing and perform. And, when people try do be different, they are just weird, because we are not educated to be unique! These contests are a waste of time. But, sometimes, we can laugh on them. This is the funniest video I found. It’s from The X Factor. Watch it before the owner of the channel takes it off YouTube! The old man at 07:23 is the best, ever! Epic audition! One of the most nonsense things I’ve ever seen in my entire life! I can’t stop laughing! (Poor him! …) Let’s have some fun! But let’s think about this strange world we live in, too!Nhé-nhé

That’s all for now, folks! Stay tuned! I’ll be back!

Explantions, excuses, etcetera.

Ta-dahmini_gifs184mini_gifs155 You thought, for one moment, that I wouldn’t return, right?! Well, me too … *lol* I’m kidding! It’s not that easy to explain this absence. Of course, the heat destroys me, as you already know (at present, it’s +25C in São Paulo, but this is probably a joke. The thermal sensation is definitely higher!). I’ve been through a short “philosophical crisis” (Who am I? What the hell am I doing in this world? Why am I writing a blog? and so on …). But, most of all, I need to learn to organize my routine. You know, it’s useless to complain about “lack of time”. The day has 24 hours, period. I need to keep it simple. And I need some planning. If you don’t use to write, my dear reader, you don’t know how hard it is. This is a blog about everything and anything and, sometimes, all these possibilities drive me insane!Smiley confusoBelieve it or not, writing is all about discipline. I usually don’t make plans about my future posts, but I realized that I need to do it, if I want to keep this blog! Sometimes I just wait for the inspiration to come, but it doesn’t happen. A blogger is a type of journalist, so, we need to read news, posts, articles, watch videos and be well-informed. The problem is that I have not been reading interesting news, posts or articles on internet, lately and the recent videos on YouTube suck in the most of times. Don’t you think that there’s a lack of creativity in the air, my dear reader? Smiley tristeOf course, it affects my work. I want to talk about my country, city and culture, but this is not a tour blog and won’t be! It would be very easy to me to copy and paste writings about Brazil and upload videos and pictures of the rain forest, Copacabana, Carnival and maybe a bunch of bananas, but, sorry, this is not me! I’m not selling my country! I want to show you my own vision of everything. That’s why sometimes I don’t update my blog. I create all my writings and I wanna make sense. I want to read my own blog and say: “Yeah, this is cool! Way to go, girl!” It’s very easy to work without passion and commitment. This blog is a type of work to me. I want to give you something nice, entertaining and informative, my dear reader! I want you to have a good time, reading this blog! It makes me really happy when my friends, for instance, read my blog and make comments about my posts, this is a great motivation to keep writing! (Thank you, sweeties, by the way! mini_gifs14) But, I need to choose some subjects and save a couple of hours to do some research and think about the future posts. I cannot depend on news from internet. Interesting and beautiful things happen everyday in São Paulo (and Brazil), but they don’t give profit to the media, so, you only read about political scandals, crimes, soap operas, reality shows and celebrities on Internet! I need to find inspiration somewhere else. Maybe inside of me Alegre.

Sooo, I have a lot of things to write and share with you guys, I just need a little bit of discipline and planning. Brazilian journalists do something called reunião de pauta, where they decide the subjects of the future news and articles. Well, I need to do a reunião de pauta, too. The difference is that I don’t have a team. Well, maybe I have: me, myself and I *lol*. I need to choose some subjects to write about on this blog, do some research and practice some writing! I won’t depend on news from internet anymore. I will write about my ideas and brainstorms even if I don’t plan to transform them into new posts. And I promise to be here more often with (hopefully) funny, interesting, informative posts, with a lot of cuteness and a little bit of sarcasm! Smiley piscandoThanks for the understanding! Sorry again for my absence! Stay tuned! I’ll be back! Now I need to sing a bit. By the way, this will be the subject of my next post: singing! minisom

Stay tuned! A big hug to you all! Pray for me! *lol*
